Maybe you have broken your cell phone, lost it or you are looking to invest in your very first cellular phone - you most likely assume that you will need to buy a new phone from a wireless provider. But this is not so. Many do not realize that used cell phones may also be purchased from a plethora of cell phone etailers and local retailers.

Used and Refurbished phones make fantastic choices for many individuals looking to save money. In reality, there actually aren't a lot of situations in which paying retail for any new cell phone makes sense.

And then what abou those contracts. Should you be signing a brand new or ever renewing a contract with your provider just to get a brand new cellular phone at a discounted cost?

Why not buy used or reconditioned? perhaps the price will be comparable to the so-called discount price the carrier offers with a contract.

However, If you lack patience and must have the latest and greatest device (cell phone), you may have no choice but to go with new since most new phones take at least a month to become readily offered within the used/refurbished industry.

But if you can wait a month, it may just be worth it.
